Are there ever cancellations?
I have been trying any restaurant but nothing is available.

My experience and advice for even the hardest to get ADR of FP+ is 'never give up'. I can't think of a trip where I wasn't able to eventually pick up a cancellation, if I continually checked, and checked, and checked lol I was just able to snag a cancellation for a sold out MVMCP dessert party for a last minute trip - but I checked throughout the day and evening whenever I had a time I could pull it up and click the button. Which date are you looking for? I was on Disney's site yesterday and saw several openings for different days.

I posted this in the CP thread, but check the night before. All of the hoarders are forced to release their ADRs, and everything was wide open last night for today’s packages. Pretty much every restaurant for lunch and dinner had availability and even 8 am PPO breakfast ADRs we’re open.

Just out of curiosity, the last week or two, I have been getting online a few times a day and seeing whats open dining wise for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the following day. Hard to get reservations for lots of places have been available every single day. We are going in two weeks, and I have had all my reservations booked for six months, but I'm just testing the waters to see what we would be in for if we ever decided to do a spur of the moment trip or plan one inside the six month window. I have been happily surprised at what I have found would be possible. Since there are so many choices, if you are somewhat flexible, I would be pretty confident that several options will come open a day or two before. Grab the first one that pops up for insurance and then continue checking to see if you can keep tweaking and find exactly what you want.

The narrator will also have an impact on if how many openings may show up over time. Someone like NPH isn't going to have as many people giving up their packages!
