I would love to see the Candlelight Processional and I am reading that getting the dining package is the best way to go. I have thought about the lunch package, but is it light during the processional and if so does it loose some of the effect? Any recommendations? Any information or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

if you call in to make your ADR, you can choose the time for CP. Don't make the reservation online.

Over the years we have attended each time....and the early show is actually our favorite. The candles still glow brightly......but our main reason for preferring the early show is that, even with the dining package, you must stand in line for 30-60 minutes....and during the two later shows you will be listening to the program while you stand in line. While it obviously is not as wonderfully intimate to listen to it standing in line because there are people chattering all around you, we have found that it does take away some of the intense feelings when you finally get into the seats and it's not "new" and "fresh". I'm not describing it well I'm sure, but it's like watching a rerun...still wonderful, but you know what's going to happen already. And yes, I know AND LOVE that year after year the story is the same....but there is just something about that first time each year. Oh, and we are a family that goes a few times during each year....this year we are definitely going for NPH and Joe Morton......waiting to see who else is added while we are there and we may do a third.

You can make your reservation online, so that you can play around with dates/times until you find what you want.....then call and have the time for the show changed if you want. So long as they have availability, they will change it to your preference of shows. I prefer doing that so I can pinpoint what I want as far as restaurants, dates/times, etc and then deal with which show. But if you know what you want already, you can also call in....I just am not fond of sitting on hold, lol.

The lunch pkg is for the 5:00 show, so yes, it will be light for the beginning of the program. It loses some effect, but if cost is an issue, I would say it's not THAT different.

Thanks so much for the information!!! any favorite restaurants that you book with the package?

They changed the package for this year, so you can choose lunch or dinner and get any show time. I think there is a stipulation that your show time has to be at least 2 hours after your dining time though. LATJLP is correct.

Thank you for the info. I didn't realize they had changed this.

I have reservations at Coral Reef and Biergarten......if a third narrator we want to go see comes up we'll try for Restaurant Marrakesh or another Biergarten (one of our favorite TS in EPCOT).

We have done the 8:15 show with the dinner package in 2011 at CR and 2013 at Chefs. We have Chefs booked for this year again.

Well I never stand in line so I don't hear the music in advance. So I always do late show.

But you have to realize sauntering up as they start seating will get you farther back. For me that's fine others may disagree. But to me the benefit of the package is no line. I just make sure I get in the seating area before they open for general admission.

We have a lunch package booked (1.30pm) for the 6.45pm show, by which time it will be dark. We have two reservations booked; one is for Chefs de France and the other was for Coral Reef, but due to recent bad reviews, we changed the other one to Chefs de France too. I might change one of them to Biergarten, still trying to decide. Our first reservation is for NPH and we are so excited, we see him every year and he's always wonderful. Our second narrator has yet to be announced.
