Can anyone report if it is worth having the CP package? Has anyone seen the non-package guest line? We have a ressie at Biergarten and want to cancel, but I am not sure it would be in our best interest if we want to see the CP.

Mods,

I thought I clicked on the restaurant forum when I posted this...can you move it for me?!

Jennifer (hi!) --

I can only report on reports I've heard - I really didn't pay attention last year because we had the package. I've read things here about people getting in line up to 2 hours in advance.

WITH the package, we still got in line 45 minutes before the show and we were about 1/2 way back in the theatre -- near some of the trees that you can see in a Google aerial shot of the theatre if that helps. That was on 12/22/08.

We walked past the American Adventure right as the first processional of the night was starting a couple of days ago, and there was already a stand-by line for the next show that was stretched back to Italy. The last show is the least populated, so you may have luck if you try to catch the last one of the evening.

if you dont mind standing up.....we were there one year and we stood in the back near the fence area and we were able to see most of it and hear it...so even if you dont make it to inside to sit.....standing is an option

We were there on 12/3 for the 6:45 show and had a package and got a seat.........they didn't let in many people to sit that were in the non-package line.........it was pretty crowded. But again, if you don't mind standing........not a big deal.

We did it last year around the middle of the month without a package - had to stand for the almost 45 minute show. This year we went in early Dec. and got a package. It was really great. Even though people start lining up 45 minutes early for the package - all that take the package are guaranteed a seat. We were numbers 357 & 358 in the package line (went to stand in line after the previous show ended) and with a good seat under the pavillion (Since we were a group of two, a cast member guided us to some empty seats). As it gets closer to the holidays and school vacation time, I would expect it to be even more crowded - so less of the stand-by (non-package) line would be able to be admitted.

We were there last week, and the line for the 5:00 show was back almost into Germany. Even with the package, the line was well into Japan.

We were there last week too. I wanted to do a little count for the dis, so at approx 3:30 there were over 150 in the stand by line for the lst evening show.We always do the package. The lines always appeared to be huge for stand by no matter what day or show it was. We saw Chita Rivera.

Was there on the 9th for the 8:15 show (on a package). I got in line at 7:45 near Morrocco. My seats were behind a tree. Not horrible, but silly me figured only 100 people or so would have this special package (LOL) and I'd get one of the first few rows. It was basically the opposite: everyone had that package and it looked like very few without the package got a seat.

I saw it on 12/9 @ 8:15, we got in the standby line about an hour before. We were just past where the line along the side curves into the plaza. No problem getting a seat, we were about 3/4 of the way back. I noticed when we passed on 12/10 for the 8:15 show there were still open seats at showtime.

We went at 5:00pm on 12/11..Andy Garcia. We went to the back of the Stand By line once it started moving at around 4:45 and got a seat near the isle halfway up. Kids we bored so we left just past halfway point.

Just my opinion only...For us it would not have been worth 2 TS at all.

We walked over to Norway, rode Maelstrom and used our 1TS for Akershus at 6:45.
After dinner we walked around the showcase and then found our own perfect spot in UK around 9:15 for Illuminations.

Other than getting an appetizer for your meal, I saw no value in using 2TS for the CP.:sad2:
