Candle Light Processional without Dining Reservation

Myself, my mother and a couple of our friends are going to be at Epcot November 28 and were interested in trying to see the Candle Light Processional as we have never seen it before. Neither my mother nor I can afford to pay OOP for the dining package. Which is the better time to try to get in without a reservation?

That's the second night, it's going to be very difficult. Plus Gary Sinise is the narrator. Last year they passed out standby wristbands at 1:00 I believe for the first show, I would try that. Otherwise get in line very early.

Gary Sinise would be awesome! When we went in 2013 we hadn't really planned to go to CP. We decided to go on a whim and Dennis Haysbert (the Allstate Guy) was the narrator. It was awesome. OP, I hope you are able to see it!

I do Candlelight without the packages every year, for your mom she can sit at the outdoor table and chairs right across from the standby line at Liberty Inn and wait there, when the CM come counting people just let them know that your mom is right across and can't stand in line. Once they give out the standby wristtbands she does need to be there for that

I highly recommend Gary Sinise. We have seen him a few times and really enjoy his narration. We saw him the first night he ever did it on Christmas Eve of 2000 and he was in tears as he finished.

We get Gary Sinise on the 27th and I am so excited! I have been a huge fan of his for many years. Two years ago we saw Dennis Haysbert and he was wonderful!

We have only done the CP with the dining package, which we do not have this year. Could someone please explain the wrist bands? Do they give these out and then you come back at a certain time? We will only be there for the very first night that the CP is offered and haven't seen Gary Sinise yet. How can I make this work without the dining reservations?

No one knows. I don't think they even did it for all the shows last year. Seems like they only did it for the more popular narrators.

they are not doing the wristbands this year. A couple of DISsers reported from Friday and I was there yesterday and asked the CMs, they said that they were not doing it because it was too complicated to manage, I got there at 11am and was obviously the first one in the standby line, the people that arrive after me got there at 1pm, so I really didn't need to be there that early. I was with my 2 kids so we took turns holding spots so the others could walk around a bit.
The dinning package got let in around 3:50pm and the standby at 4:10pm. The last 3 complete rows were left for standby.
The narrator was Gary Sinise and he was great

I admit that it was extreme to get there that early but we are locals and the only thing I was planning on doing was Candlelight, I like to people watch and also took my crossword puzzle books

There are often locals who show up early and get in line for a narrator they want to see.

That they let package people in at 3:50 and standby at 4:10 for the 5:00 show. It's usually about 30 minutes for package and 10 or 15 for standby. I have a reservation for 8:15 on Saturday.

I thought it was early too. Maybe it was because it was the first show and the lines were long? I had time to go to the liberty inn restaurant get food.

Parents are there today for the CP. They said at 2pm there were about 70 people already in line for the 5pm show.
