I all...57 days but who is counting? ME!

Just been reading on the main boards that the candlelight processional is going to happen on the 7th & 8th December. We arrive on the 8th, with no park activities planned other than an early night.

Can anyone tell me what exactly it is and if it is worth changing our plans?

On a side issue, I find it really hard to plan dining tours etc which you book 60 or 30 days out but you don't have Disney's timetable available to assist with planning.

Thanks in advance.

No idea about the Candlelight Processional, but if you've never been to Disneyland, I'd give it a miss and enjoy Disneyland for itself and when there would be less people and craziness!!

Regarding booking dining, if you give them a call, they'll tell you what time breakfast starts, for instance, and this will give you a good idea of park opening times.

Also, on the main Disneyland board, there is a sticky by Hydroguy about past opening and closing times for certain times of the year. I found this really helpful. Different things may change each year, but it'll give you a good starting point.

Hope this helps:)

PS. Hope you're talking about Disneyland, not Disney World!

The 8th is our first day at DL too! We would have been in LA proper the week prior.

My understanding is that the Candlelight Processional is a ticketed even for annual passholders etc, though it still draws large crowds as you can see it a bit without tickets. Touring Plans has the day as pretty busy.

We may go to the park that day, we'll have a 10 day ticket so we're not wasting any days, but I believe that you can't really get to the Castle, but I may be wrong. I'm thinking of booking either Carnation Cafe or Rainforest Cafe for the Sunday night dinner.

I'm making plans for the following night for WOC, that way if it's raining we have the rest of the week to watch it.

Here's to the 8/12, woot hoot!

Thanks everybody, have decided to give it a miss. We are going straight to DL from flight so I think we will all be too buggered to care.

Good thinking on WOC! I hadn't put a day on that but will do and go early. Not that far to go. So excited.

They set it up just below the main street train station. It's carols and stuff and is supposed to be lovely but maybe just watch it on you tube lol
