We are on the Dining Plan and have a couple of quesitons about CP:

1. I noticed there are a great deal of restaurants on the plan. Is it difficult to get reservations for the CP, even 90 days in advance and even with the number of restaurants participating?

2. On the dining plan, are there limits to which CP you are able to go to? If there are, is this a prepaid type meal or a credit card guarantee? We want to do a Tier 3 Restaurant (Tutto Italia) and know that 2 of our meals will be OOP for the trip. I want to know if I need to plan on this one being OOP.

TIA for the help!

1) Unless you are picking Le Cellier as your dining option, it USUALLY is not all that difficult if you call asap.BUT this year is the first year that Free Dining has been extended to the general public so that may make it harder.2) There are no limitations on which tier if using the dining plan.It is 1 TS credit per person. There are 3 Processional seatings nightly and you MUST eat before the show. The 530pm show is considered a lunch so your meal will be lunch.I think they may require a credit card guarantee to hold as well.

Depends mostly on when you are going. The closer to Christmas, the more difficult. As noted above, some restaurants are very difficult, others quite easy. I do not recall Tutto Italia being all that difficult, if it helps.

If Tutoo Italia is a 1 TS credit (I'm retty sure it is), then use the Dining Plan for CP package. Just check out last year's CP package prices and you'll quickly agree, LOL. Pay OOP for something else.

If this year is like last year, I think the only difference between paying OOP for the CP vs using a DP credit is that those who pay get an appetizer and those that use the DP credit do not. Keep an eye on the boards to see what happens this year, when Disney officially announces the package info for 2009.
