didn't your father have skin cancer, too?

My friend Richard had it; He just died 2 weeks ago. The whole school was touched by him...R.I.P Richard. <3

I don't think anyone in my family has had cancer.
Someone I know lost her mother to breast cancer.
I couldn't even imagine.

On Much Music they have a show called Music Is My Life. There was a really sad episode about a boy and his mother dying of cancer. That touched my heart.

I just have a question. I know cancer is really serious and alot of people die from cancer everyday. But, why don't I ever hear anything about diabetes or some other deathly diseases? My father died of diabetes, but I don't see all the fundraisers for diabetes like the breast cancer fundraisers with all the pink stuff.

My friends mom died about a month ago from breast cancer...she died 1 week before his birthday, 2 weeks before his graduation, a month before he got a high paying job...she missed a lot but she did battle breast cancer for about 5 years before it finally took over.

My grandpa(dad's dad) whom I never met died pf pancreatic(sp?) cancer when my dad was 16. :sad1:

My second or third or fourth cousin has skin cancer because she tans everyday. :sad2:

Another one of my second or third or fourth cousins has breast cancer and is down in Florida for treatments. :guilty:

My best best best adult friend (my godmother) died of brain cancer back in 2002. She had moved to Washington state two years prior and had written a novel. She had no chance really cause it was like the worst brain cancer to have. :(

My mom's friend had leukemia and died not from the cancer, but from the chemo. :(

My Grandpa Al had it & passed away right before Christmas. It was sad the last time we visited him tho because I knew it was the last time I would ever see him alive. Also my family's close neighbor Marilyn had breast cancer & it just kept coming back to her. It was heartbreaking to see her die because of all thw weight she loss.

I've been really touched by cancer. It makes me want to get out there & help people. My cousin Robert was diagnosed with Limphoma when he was 15 years old. He's still alive now. He'll be 20 soon & he has a girlfriend. He's driving, partying, having fun like a normal kid-and thats all he asks for. He doesn't want extra attention just because he had cancer. It makes me wonder why people do all of these crazy things like drugs, smoke, and drink just to get attention. If they walk through a hospital & even talk to some hurt people, it is a possibility its from something harmful & done on purpose. I just don't get why people would abuse themselves in such a way & they know it does. Why do they think its cool? Why do they want unnescessary attention when they have plenty, especially from family?

my great aunt has lymphoma and my like 7 year old cousin has leukemia:(:(

My grandpa died from lung cancer. And a friend of my family died from cancer as well.

My grandpa died from it about two years ago when we were on our way to ohio for my irish dance championships. (i know, totally sucks) We actually saw him 3 days before he died at my sister's b-day party. He looked totally fine, and then he died in his sleep. It started as a tumor in his mouth, and then spread.

My auntie ann just got rid of her breast cancer about 6 months ago. She's a survivor <3

I've been affected by cancer soo much.
Three of my grandparents died from cancer. 2 from lung cancer and one from pancreatic cancer. My family's friends son was diagnosed with cancer last year. and now my aunt has cancer. She went to the doctor and got the "go home and do whatever" speech. So she might not be around soon. My dad also got skin cancer. It was deadly and he is better now. But I am also at risk for skin cancer. I hope I never get it. Thats why I always have my sunblock and don't go tanning.

my grandma died of breast cancer when my dad was 17.
my younger neighbor had leukemia, but she's been in remission for a couple of years.
my grandpa died of pancreatic cancer when i was 9. he was my best friend.
