I am more then 75 days out from my planned cruise on Disney. I am trying to find out cancellation information on if you cancel before the paid in full date. Can't come across much. Is there still a cancellation fee or is the deposit refunded like other cruise lines.

Just wondering because the Dreams podcast this week got me researching the Anthem of the Seas and I can get a 7 night Bahamas cruise for a 100 dollars more then the 3 night on the Dream.

You get a full refund. You have to call DCL if you went through them. If you went through a travel agent you have to go through your travel agent.

On your reservation confirmation email there is a section for terms and conditions, cancellations/refunds is #3, and it will outline the penalties for cancelling before/after certain dates.

Wow...and that looks like one beautiful ship. Enjoy!!!

I read that but still did some research and got some mixed messages. Cruise Critic in their terms and conditions comparisons has Disney down for a cancellation fee from the start.

Cruise critic is wrong. I've cancelled a few before paid in full date and got 100% back.

I was researching Med cruises for this Fall, and I found out I could do a 8 night Med cruise on the New Carnival Vista for less than a 3 night cruise on the Dream. Amazing isn't it? Like others have said you won't have any penalties for cancelling. I have cancelled many cruises before the paid in full date. I book cruises, but always cancel and book the restricted rates.

Thanks for the help everyone. I really want to try Disney Cruise Line but with the CAD as it is and the price of DCL it makes more sense to put off a DCL and do other travel. Disneyland looks lovely too.
Enjoy your cruise. I get it. The CAD is in a free fall. We're going to Vancouver in May, and I hate to say it, but I'm excited about the favorable exchange rate. I hope things turn around soon so you can enjoy vacationing in the US.

CCL just had a price reduction on our 6/3 Mediterranean on the Vista, now for 4 of us in 2 insides it's only $4520 including trip insurance and pre-paid gratuity. We'll be on her 4th sailing and am really looking forward to the Havana and Serenity areas, not to mention sinking my teeth into a Guy Fieri burger! Some of the included meal places seem pretty awesome.

That is a great price, now hopefully we can get a reduction on our DCL Med cruise. ;) I know I am dreaming.

You should get a full refund back to your original payment method. If you paid using Disney gift cards (like I do) it will be refunded back to the gift cards.

OP: you didn't specify your itinerary and departure/arrival port, so no clear answer can be given.
But as you mention the 75 days I assume you booked a DCL cruise departing and/or returning to a US-port and no longer than 5 nights. You will get a full refund when cancelling. Cruises longer than 5 nights and not starting and ending in the US have longer periods and as stated Concierge/suite deposits are not refundable: you cancel, you loose deposit.

Does anyone know what the cancellation policy is for a 7 night western carribean cruise on the fantasy that leaves/ends at Port Canaveral? I've looked on the DCL site but am confused by their wording. I'm looking to book a summer 2017 cruise on the first day it opens to get the cheapest price but there is a small chance I may have to cancel once I get more information on my job situation.

Yes this was what I saw already on the DCL website and was a little confused with the wording. So are they basically saying that there is no penalty to cancelling if you do it before 89 days of the sailing date?

That sounds great. I figure there's going to be discounts on all cruise lines in the Fall including the DCL Med cruises in Sept so I'm holding out until we get back from Alaska in May. I've got two cruises coming up and taxes so I can't think about putting money down on another cruise right now. It's so tempting though I can't imagine ever being able to see Italy for just 1,900 on such a great ship. Please write a review when you get back.

We got really lucky with this cruise. I had been watching airfare for a while and logged on to cheapoair.com several times a day. Rarely did I see anything from PHX for less than $1400/person. One Monday evening I checked and found round trips for $750/person, I ended upgrading some seats and finished at about $825 for each of us. 2 days later it was back up to $1500.

I will certainly write a review and comparison when we get back. I'm going in knowing it's not going to be DCL, but also knowing it certainly beats working. I've read so many CCL trip reports on many 7 day cruises on various ships and truly believe the two lines are more similar than different.

Out of curiosity, why do you think cruise rates will go down in the fall?
