I may have to cancel my upcoming trip and what to know when is the last day that you can cancel and get a full refund from Disney

I believe if it's 45 days out or further, it's a $100 cancellation fee...after 45 days you have to pay in full...then it's $200 if you cancel within the last 45 days...that does not include airfare cancellation fees.

Straight from the Disney contract - typing errors are mine as I had to retype it:

Cancellation of Reservation - if the reservation is cancelled amounts paid, minus cancellation fees, vacation insurance premium, and other amounts owed, will be refunded. For a cancellation made 44 to 7 days prior to guest arrival, there is a cancellation fee of $100 per package, plus any cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppiers. For a cancellation made 6 days or less prior to guest arrival there is a cancellation fee of $200 per package, plus any cancellation fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers.

So basically between 7 to 44 days out the cancellation fee is $100. After that 6 days or less the fee is $200.

I was under the impression that you could make any changes including canceling more than 45 days ahead of your trip. If you wish to make changes within the 45 days there would be a cancellation fee, but I don't know what that is.

I'm sorry you have to cancel : (

If you booked a package, you must cancel 45 days ahead of time to receive a full refund. If you booked room only, you can cancel 5 (or 6?) days ahead of time and receive your refund.

Another poster copied the information for packages. The poster who mentioned room only reservations is also correct that those can be cancelled closer to the reservation date without penalty.

If you purchased trip insurance you will not get that money back.

The only thing I am going to add is that if you purchased travel insurance through them that amount is NOT refundable. I lost that money when we cancelled last year. If you even remotely think you can just postpone it (if you purchased the insurance) that would be the way to go so you dont totally lose that money. I ended up rebooking to go only a few months later and wish I would have taken the CM up on just postponing rather than cancelling or well live and learn right :) Sorry you are not able to go at this time :(
