Cancelling Rules?

I may need to cancel my May 2010 reservation. I'll know for sure in Dec, but I may have a work conflict.

My UY is March.

So, if I understand correctly, I can cancel this in December, and then just have my normal 2010 pts in my contracts (which I can back to 2011 if I want). Both points I have banked from 2009 and the points I have borrowed from 2011 will need to be used by Feb 28 2011.

Is there anything I'm missing here?

If you cancel 31 or more days prior to your check in date, the points go back to where they came from.

If they were 2010 points they stay 2010 points.

If they were banked 2009 points, they are now 2010 points.

If they were borrowed 2011 points, they are now 2010 points.

Banking and borrowing are final transactions, they can not be put back and they can not be banked again.

yes, if you cancel more than 31 days in advance, all of the pts for the reservation are returned to the 2010 UY. yes, the current 2010 UY pts can be banked into 2011 if you do so by oct 31, 2010.

yes, any banked 2009 or borrowed 2011 UY pts will be returned to the 2010 UY, where they will expire if not used by the end of that UY (feb 28 2011 as stated.)
