Cancelling part of a reservation?

Hi,
We are looking to book our first trip from the UK with our DVC points.

Now, we'll want to book DVC at 11 months out however the flights don't get released until 11 months before our return date.

Because flight prices can vary quite a bit between one day and the next we want to allow a bit of flexibility in the DVC reservation. We may then need to cancel a day or two of the reservation depending on flight prices.

E.g. If we book 16 nights 10-26 December in DVC (I know we'll have to make multiple phone calls) can we later on (in a couple of weeks) cancel, say, the first two days of the booking if we end up booking the flights arriving on the 12th?

MS can modify the reservation to change the check-in date and/or check-out date without needing to cancel the entire reservation.

The can also extend the reservation by changing the check-in and/or check-out dates (subject to availability).

I am hoping that we can just stick to the whole 16 nights to be honest as this comes to exactly the right points if I get what I am hoping for.

Yes I took the first day off of our last trip because of flights. I just called and ms fixed it no problem and my points for that night were back in my account.

Watch out if you use banked or borrowed points. Make sure that the end reservation uses those points first.
