Cancelling our first BLT stay for NYE!

DH and I have been so excited for our first BLT stay and our first Disney holiday season trip the week of New Year's Eve this year. Well, last week we found out I'm 8 weeks pregnant and our first baby is due December 22 : We're really excited, i'm really and we're bummed about having to cancel our first BLT stay. At least we'll have extra points to do a BIG trip next year with our little one, but sheesh, bad timing kid.

What a wonderful reason to have to cancel, though! Maybe you can squeeze in a little trip in August or September when you're in your 2nd trimester so you'll still get to experience the resort?

EEK, we have a trip to BLT on cash over New Years, and I will be trying to get on the waitlist to use points when 7 month window opens. I thought, WAIT, switch your reservation over to me, lol.

We have Dec 30-Jan 2 BLT cash reservation. (Jan 1 and 2 also on points at BCV, waitlist BCV Dec 30 and 31). We are debating split trip, 2 nights cash BLT, then 2 nights points BCV, being realistic about getting 4 nights in the same resort seems doubtful. We also would be happy with 2 nights cash, 2 nights points, all at BLT....... My family hates to move around/

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I can't think of a better reason to cancel a disney trip, I'm just a little bummed that we won't be able to stay at BLT sooner - DH and I used up all of our vacation time for the year already - we were using holidays and a couple of days of 2010 vacation for the NYE trip, so we probably won't be able to go down in the fall before the baby makes it's appearance, but I'm sure I'll be trying to think of a way for a long weekend or something!! Of course my mother and sister have informed me that lasts the entire pregnancy in our family (at least it did for both of them with both kids) so I'm not optimistic that I'll feel up to a Disney trip anyway.

It's funny that someone mentioned making someone's waitlist dreams come true - I thought of that as soon as we realized we'd have to cancel - somebody will be I think we're going to wait a little bit longer to cancel, just until I get a firm due date, but I'm sure that's what we'll be doing, so those of you on the waitlist, keep an eye out!

OMG Get used to it! You are in for 20 years of bad timing when it comes to kids!

The best thing that ever happend to DH and I are our 2 boys, but man-o-man, they are a lot of work!
