Cancelling EMM question

Hi all
We may have to decide to cancel our EMM morning in order to do MNSSHP. Now before I call does anyone know if they can just move the funds over and I pay the difference for the party? I’d rather do that than wait for the money to go back on my account. Tia

The EMM tickets as with party Tickets (MNSSHP and others) are non refundable. Do not know if they will let you change them period and if they do it will certainly not be a refund.

EMM has a 1-day cancellation policy, so canceling that is not a problem. I do not know if they’ll let you just move the funds, though.

This is not true. Yeah maybe 1 day after it’s booked but not 1 day before

I have the email that states it. It’s like a dining reservation not a party ticket.

It says right on their page

• The number of Guests admitted to these events is limited. In addition, all reservations are non-refundable, non-transferrable and are only valid for admission during the special event date and hours.

If you read the long EMM thread, many many of us have had no problem cancelling an EMM reservation for full refund. The information on the EMM webpage is inconsistent with what actual EMM booking confirmations tell you (and what Disney makes you acknowledge is the cancellation policy before you book EMM).

I see. Does this apply to after hours also in that regard?

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I'm almost certain that you will be issued a refund for the EMM and a new charge for a party ticket. I don't believe they have a way to apply a credit to a new charge. Of course that means you will have a wait of a week or so for the EMM refund to get applied to your credit card, which is a bit of a drag, but hopefully will fall within the same billing period for you as the new charge.

EMM is not like a MNSSHP or MVMCP hard ticket event. Reservations act more like ADRs and there is a one day cancellation policy with a full refund.

Effectively, EMM is a dining reservation. MNSSHP is a park ticket/admission.

OP, I’m skeptical they’ll “move funds over” but I guess you can try asking. When I’ve cancelled EMM before, I usually get a credit back on my card in 1-3 days (this can vary with different credit card companies). It’s super easy/painless to cancel online.

DAH is like MVMCP or MNSSHP - it’s a hard ticket event that is truly non-refundable. You’re buying what is effectively a park ticket/admission with MNSHHP, MVMCP, or DAH tickets.

Something like EMM isn’t “park admission”. It does get you in the park early, but you have to have actual separate regular MK park tickets/admission to attend.

There is a 1 day cancellation policy for EMM. My email confirmation confirms this.
