We did not have our own Disney+ account (shared with my parents) but signed up for one when our travel agent encouraged us to try and ended up with a substantial discount. We have not paid our final balance yet (due next month) but paid for a couple months of disney+ but I would like to cancel. Does anyone have any experience if Disney requires you to have the account through the final balance payment or has anyone signed up just to book the discount and then cancelled immediately?

For what it is worth, the customer service representative told me they would be "verifying it within the next few days" (from our booking), so to make sure I gave him the current email. But I too, wouldn't risk it for the cost.

If you saved that much money is it worth risking losing that discount over $100 subscription? Do the math - you can always cancel after your cruise.

They can choose to verify it anywhere up to when you board the ship including in the terminal. They stopped having the Florida residents send in info in advance. Now you have to show proof of residency at check in for Florida Discount rates.

I would just consider that extra 8 bucks a month "Discount Insurance" and set your self a calendar reminder when you get back from the cruise to cancel. At the end of the day, $8 bucks times three or four months isn't a huge loss.

When did they start that? I just sailed at the end of September this year, and I did my FL residency verification through the email address as soon as my TA applied the discount to our reservation. I did not get asked to provide proof of residency during online check in or at port.

in the last month or two. I was looking at some of the FL Resident rates and they mentioned they changed it when I called in to ask questions.
