Cancelling DDP

I'm going to cancel our DDP. Do I need to do this in advance or can I just do it when we check in? We're staying at OKW. Thanks!

We were told it needed to be caneled before the day you check in.

I would check with your TA or Disney (depending on who you booked though), what the policy is. I would hate to end up at check in disappointed.

With everything going on last year right before our annual trip, I forgot to call and cancel the DDP before we got there. The lady at the front desk (bless her heart) was able to get it cancelled for us but it took about 30 minutes (no joke) before she could finish checking us in.

So, learn from my mistake and cancel it before you leave home.

Depending who at Disney you ask, its between five days prior and three days prior to check-in to add, change or remove the Dining Plan. I'd do it at least a week ahead of time to be sure.

Thanks, everyone! I talked to Disney Dining about some ADR's, but when they transfered me to the resorts, they couldn't help me because my resort reservation is with the DVC and it's apparently a parallel universe. So I will call them tomorrow. I just hate calling. I am a phonaphobic.

All DVC stuff is handled through member services. Did you rent these points? If so, all questions, including the cancelling of the dining plan, must be done by the member through whom you made the arrangements.
