I may need to cancel some reservations I booked for later this year. I borrowed from my '11 use year. I've never screwed things up like this. Is there anyway I could put those points back into the '11 UY. Would they possibly make an exception since this is the first time I've had a borrowing or backing problem? Thanks.

As is always explained, borrowing/banking is a final transaction and there is no going back. I suppose, if you spoke really nicely and were very lucky, MS might make an exception. But I very much doubt it - imagine what sort of precedent it could set, everybody would be phoning MS if they made a banking/borrowing error expecting the same. If I were you, I'd chalk it up to experience and try to rent the points if you are unable to use them now.

I've never heard of them making an "unborrowing" exception. Are you cancelling your May trip too? If not, they maybe able to reallocate that reservation to use the borrowed points, freeing up points to bank.

Do you have current UY points in that reservation ? If yes, try to cancel while you're within your banking window so at least you can bank your Current points.

Good luck :goodvibes

:thumbsup2

That is likely the best solution. In the past, Member Services has been able to re-allocate borrowed points to already booked reservation, freeing current points for banking.

They let us last year, have a good story (baby coming) and hope for the best.
