We made reservations for 6 nights and had to borrow some points to do this. We now have to change the reservation to cancel our last night.

I know that once you borrow points you can't put them back. My question is since our ressie is made with current and borrowed points, can I cancel the one night and have them return the points for our current year and then bank those points. Or am I SOL? Have any ideas?

It's only 30 points and I would rather not go through the hassle of renting them. I bet someone on this board will know the answer to this! Thanks!

I would think that if you cancel the last night, you could tell them to return the non-borrowed points to your account,a nd then bank them as you indicated.

I don't think you would be permitted to bank the borrowed points if you were to have them returned to your account.

The answer to your question is: Yes. You cannot put the borowed points back to next year, but you can be sure to use the borrowed points on your ressie first, so that the leftovers are all current year points, which you then can bank.

You should be able to do this.

After you cancel the last night, tell the CM that you want to use all of the borrowed points for the reservation. Then say that you want to bank the 30 current year points. (Those should have been "released" when the CM "reallocated" the points used for your reservation). As long as you are within your banking deadlines, you should be able to do this. It's been done before by many!

Best wishes -
