Cancelled Netflix? What's your new plan?

So, for those that've cancelled their Netflix service after today's debacle...what's your plan? Blockbuster, Redbox, Hulu, Cable?

I'm not sure what I'll do...I'm thinking about Redbox for dvds. I called Comcast earlier tonight and I can get cable back (including Disney channel) for only $10 more/month. Between cable and free streaming with hulu, I think that will satisfy most of our needs.

I cancelled Netflix about a month ago. I heard this new service Quickster is going to be the next big thing, so I am going to sign-up for that as soon as the website is finished.

I havent cancelled it. I just went with the streaming. It is still far cheaper than the 160.00 a month I used to pay. I do use veetle.com under the channels and stream that way. Alot of people put up all kinds of things to watch and I am ok with that.

I found that we really weren't watching enough netflix to justify sticking with it through all the hassles. We're not missing it. I also have Comcast On Demand though, so I can watch a lot of back episodes through that.

went back to cable. Right now it is only costing me $16 a month more than when I just had Internet. I did buy a $300 tuner for my HTPC though.

We have had blockbuster from the very beginning. I like that we can take in our home delivered movies into the store for exchanges. Plus, we still get coupons for 2 extra rentals per month.

I cancelled nexflix a few months ago when they had a price increase, and to tell you the truth we aren't missing it at all. If we want to rent a movie I just go to red box and that hasn't been very much either. So I doubt very much I will go back or switch to another company.

I canceled Netflix a few months back when I finally realized that they don't get new releases. Duh! I don't know why I didn't notice that at first. The service is not worth having if they only show movies that have already been out in Redbox or are already on PPV.

Qwikster is the rebranding of the Netflix DVD service. They are going to keep the streaming service called Netflix but the other half is Qwikster for the DVDs.

I cancelled Netflix when they annoucened the price increase. Right now I use Redbox for anything I want to rent.

I also cancelled Netflix when the price increases started. My DH was holding onto the DVD's for way too long before watching them to make it worth our while and so when Dish Network offered up a year of free Starz and Encore we gave Netflix the boot. The only person that was missing it was our DD who was at college and was using it for the streaming but then I realized she can stream movies (inlcluding ones being shown on Starz and Encore) and TV shows online via our Dish account and of course she was already using Hulu as well.

DS gets the occasional Redbox and Blockbuster kiosk movie when I find a freebie code.

We have ATT U-Verse and we get the same servie. I can take my clients to their AA or NA meetings and sit back in a corner, throw in my headphones, and log into my account with my Samsung Infuse and watch TV or movies from the phone. Much better than paying that high price for old movies.

Keeping Netflix for now. Still way cheaper than Directv.

We do Netflix and HuluPlus and have an antenna. Plenty of things to watch for under $20/mo.

We cancelled the DVD part when they upped the price. We watch a lot of old tv shows on streaming so it was worth keeping it.

The grocery store up the street from me has a Blockbuster Express box, and every single weekend they have rent two movies get one free, so for $2 I can get three movies on Saturday morning that aren't due back til Sunday night, and that's plenty for us.

We also have cable, so now that network tv has started back up we'll have plenty to watch.

We live rurally and don't have access to ATT for phone (rural company with DSL as our fastest internet option so we have to keep a landline with them ) and don't even have access to cable out here if you can believe that. We can't even get a signal for local channels with an antenna lol so we even have to get our networks through Dish. Once the free year of Starz and Encore are over we won't be paying for it believe me.

We cancelled Netflix. The price increase made me realize how little we were utilizing our account and with Verizon On Demand and Redbox we aren't missing it at all.

Netflix/Quickster does have a cheaper option. I am now only paying $4.99/month for 2 DVD's sent per month and 2 hours of streaming after refusing to pay the recent price increase. Pretty much all I need anyways...

We haven't canceled yet, but may soon unless streaming gets something more interesting. We haven't had DVD delivery in awhile anyway since they offered just streaming. If I want to watch a new release, which doesn't happen often, we Redbox it for one night.

I've streamed a couple of things from Amazon Prime (which we had anyway for the shipping) and we've rented one DVD from Redbox.

Other than that, nothing. Kids are in sports, school has started, and the NFL dominates Sunday at our house so tv watching is way down anyway.

Very cute...I'm going to do the same!!!

Actually I'm going to hold off on any subscription service for a while. I've got lots of DVDs in my home collection and I'm going to be watching them. If I really get tired of this I'll probably pop over to a Redbox once or twice a month or if I get really desperate I'll sign up for Blockbuster. I can get a 30 day free trial with them.
