Thanks, Michelle. I cried when I called, but it was necessary. And Disney was great. They are even refunding the MNSSHP tickets for us. The new car means probably no RPC next December, unless we just wait until that trip and don't go earlier. The kids were really great about the news and are excited to try a different time of year. We are actually looking at March for my b'day as we need to travel by April to avoid losing the airplane tickets.

We got a new Chrysler T&C minivan that is loaded, so that is definitely a decent consolation! My old van was a '98, so I'm in shock over all the new gadgets.

Thanks, Lindsay. We are actually at the beach at this moment, so they aren't too concerned about Disney right now. My car died late Thurs pm with us leaving yesterday... Literally had to run and buy a new one on Friday to avoid losing our deposit on the beach condo... it was crazy... and then had to call Disney to cancel the trip to get the refund to have the money for the car...

Sounds like a beautiful car with all the bells and whistles, though.

I still feel really bad for you.

Keep the hope alive that you may be able to do the GF next December or something else you choose. You never know what life will throw at you - good or bad.

Thanks, everyone. We just spent a wonderful time down at the beach. The water is so blue and the weather is wonderful. It definitely is helping take the edge off of having to cancel. Now I just am going to concentrate on saving money to book a trip for next year. I think I'll still have the AAA book RPC just in case. Maybe it would be worth waiting until next December to have a fantastic trip!

Oh, I've been there. My mom, about a month before going, cancelled a 10 day trip to Disney during Christmas time at the GF. Trust me, I know how it feels, lol.

I'm at the ER with DD. She fell at the pool and split her chin wide open. I sure hope she can swim the rest of the week. She is being really brave, but I know it is hurting her:

Sorry about your DD. My DS 2 had to get stitches in his lip 2 weeks ago and my nephew got some on his forehead yesterday! Wow, summer fun. They do make waterproof bandages that you can find on the bandaid aisle, so hopefully DD will enjoy the rest of her vacation.
