I need to cancel or postpone our trip due to a death and hospitalization in our family. We were scheduled to fly out on the 23 and return on the 30. We were to stay at POR.

Has anyone ever used their Disney trip insurance for this purpose and if so, do you have any suggestions for me?

Disney family is really bummed!!!!!!

i am so sorry for your loss. just call disney and explain to them why you are cancelling. you will needd send them the death certificate of your loved one. the insurance will cover anyone in your imediate family ( siblings, parents, spouce or children. anyone outside of this spectrum the insurance doesnt cover you. )

my mother passed and we canceled our trip, it was easier to have my DH call and make the arangements as i kept crying. so decide who will be able to keep it together.

Thank you so much. It is good to know that this happened to someone else and they got through it.

It was my grandfather that passed away and my mother that is in the hospital. Her doctor's are writing me a letter and my grandmother is giving me a copy of the death certificate.

So I will let everyone know on the disboards how the process goes.

Thanks again...
