Cancellation policies?

Have a quick question... On our first day at WDW we are going to MK - early breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace. I have also made ADR for Ohana dinner (we are staying at Poly). I am worried that either 1) we will come back to the resort for afternoon rest and my kids will want to go back to the park and do more in the evening or 2) it will be a long day and everyone will be completely "done" by dinner time and not want to go to sitdown meal. Don't get me wrong - I really want to go to Ohana and this is probably our only night to do so..

Anyway - what is the cancellation policy. Ideally, I would call in advance to cancel but it might be a last minute decision. If I don't show up or cancel very late am I penalized in anyway? Is there a specific time you are supposed to cancel before?

TIA
Alli

Our older DD got sick this last trip and we knew we werent going to go to one of our ADR's. We cancelled it but maybe only an hour before our reservation. We weren't charged a few or anything. Not sure what they do with no show.

At Ohana there is no CC hold, so cancellation is on the honor system. A 24 hour notice is ideal. Of course as PP you never know with sick children..etc, so with this meal you aren't charged or penalized.
It is just best to call and cancel as soon as you know so it will open up a ressie to someone else.

This goes with all restaurants EXCEPT those with CC hold. CRT, HDDR, those meals. I believe the policy for them is 24 hours or you are charged anyway.

Hope you get to make Ohana it is GOOD!!!
