Usually how long does it take for the money to go back on your credit card when you cancel a room only reservation?

Disney processes any type of cancelation the same way - immediately. The *how long does it take to see your money* depends on how quickly your bank/credit card processes the return.
When using our debit card, the money was back in our account in 4-5 days. Some credit cards may take a billing cycle before you see it.

I see that you are Canadian so I am assuming that you paid with a Canadian dollar credit card. You will probably lose a bit on the exchange rate ding by your credit card company.

95% will show up in 3-5 business days. Only 5% will take longer. They were just highballing their estimate it sounds like.
