Cancellation charges for Last minute cancel of ADR

Does Disney charge a cancellation charge to your dining plan if you cancel an ADR without 24 hour notice on reservations that did not require a credit card? i know that you need to give as much notice as possible but wanted to know their policy on ADR without credit cards. Thanks for your help.

No. There's no cancellation charge on any ADR that was made without a credit card (ie: HDDR, F. package). But it is a courtesy to all those who are waiting for an opening to cancell as soon as you know you won't be using that ADR. Even if you're already at WDW, you can call from your room (Dining is on the speed dial).

Nope. They can't really charge people who don't have ADRs linked to a package, so it wouldn't make sense to charge the people who did have them linked. I agree with PP though-common courtesy to cancel as soon as you know.

Your dining plan has absolutely nothing to do with your restaurant reservations ahead of time. It's a method of payment only. They can deduct your dining credits only by swiping your card at the restaurant.

There is no penalty at all for cancelling any reservation that did not require a credit card hold at any time.

How does it work if you are using dining points for something like CRT? Do you still give a cc when making the reservation? Does your card get charged and then credited?

You give a CC incase of late cancellation. You shouldn't get charged ahead of time if you are on the plan. I have a hard time understanding those that get charged online "without knowing" because it tells you how much the meal is they are charging you for.

A few years ago we had 2 ADR's for dinner Boma on different nights however we deicded to cancel the second one 24 hours before we were to go there again. Well when I told the Club Level Cast Member at the Contemporary to cancel it they did it without any problems.
