My friend is a few weeks away from her trip.At the last minute, her sister booked a package and is going as well. We successfully added her sister to the ADRs my friend made months ago except for 2.
Originally, the trip was my friend, her mom and her daughter. Their package has the dining plan. The sister's package also has the dining plan. The 2 reservations that we could't add her sister to are must-do's for my friend, so instead of canceling, her mom and her sister are going to eat elsewhere while my friend enjoys dinner alone with her daughter. My question is...the original party size for the 2 that could not be changed is 2 adults, 1 child. Will calling and dropping one of the adults jeopardize the reservation or is it better for her to just show up and say the other party can't make it?

This. I did it when I took my niece. My sister really wanted to go too but wasn't sure if she could afford it (I was paying for my niece). I booked our reservations for 3. My sister ultimately decided she couldn't afford to go and cancelled right before the 45 day mark. I changed what I could to 2 people, but a couple didn't have any availability. I just kept those and when I checked in said the 3rd person couldn't make it.
