Canceling ADR to CM help with replacement

After all the bad reviews I have been reading latley, I am going to cancel our breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey. I need another character breakfast that will have Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. We are staying with family and will have our own car. We want to have this breakfast one morning before MK. Thanks for your help.

Don't cancel. We were there Christmas week, which is the busiest week of the year and it was fine. We ate there for dinner and then a special New Years Brunch. We saw all the characters and had a great waitress. My kids loved the napkin song. The food was good. The desserts were yummy.
I would choose lunch or dinner over breakfast. The earlier you get to the parks the more rides you can do when it is less crowded.

DD5 is special needs and only eats breakfast foods. Plus we will have spent 1 1/2 day at MK already.

Any restaurant you post here will get their share of awful reviews. Not everyone's taste or expectations are the same. I'm not canceling my CM ADR. I like to make my own decisions.
Last fall we went to 'Ohana for breakfast. I had a friend who went there a few weeks before us and she didn't like it. We LOVED it! Sad to not go back this year but, we're trying a couple other ones. Definitely in the future though!
However, if you're dead set on canceling, try 'Ohana Yummy food and the characters are a blast!

I agree I wouldn't cancel it. Do I love it there--NO. BUT, my kids do, we go for the characters for THEM. We did have issues with characters last time we were there, skipping our table, twice, but we told their handler, and they were brought back to us (I don't even think the kids noticed). I'm not crazy about their food either. I can't speak for breakfast, though, since we have only done dinners there.

Everybody has different opinions, I love LTT and the San Angel Inn, but a lot of people hate those. On the other hand, I was really disappointed in Kona, but it gets great reviews on here.

I'm another one that says to not cancel your CM ADR just because of the reviews. Everywhere in Disney will have some sort of negative review, just be your own critic. I say keep your CM ADR and if you don't like it, then you know not to go back, but at least you made that with your own decision not because others said something bad about it. We are going to CM for breakfast in September and I am not planning on canceling. We have eaten at CM for dinner a few years ago and didn't see what the hype was all about....the food was o.k., but the character interaction just seemed too rushed for us. We decided to give CM a try one more time, but for breakfast, if we are unhappy with it again, then we know not to go back. Good luck

I would not cancel Chef Mickeys either. We have done dinner and breakfast. Both were fun. Food is just ok, but definitley not bad. My kids love it there, they love the food and the characters.
If you are going to change my favorite is Ohanas or maybe try cape may cafe.
I agree that you shouldnt go by other peoples reviews. They are fun to read and nice to keep in mind, but everybody is different.
Some of or favorites are not given the greatest reviews and some of other peoples favorites are not on our list.

Personally, I wouldn't cancel. For every single place there is to eat at WDW, there is always going to be someone who doesn't like it. I am sure you can find something your whole family will love at Chef Mickey's. We went there last year with low expectations, and we all loved it! DH wanted me to make 2 breakfast ADRs this year (I only made one). We did a late breakfast, and MK EMH before hand. We thought the food was really good. Gourmet, no, but is was tasty! The character interaction was outstanding!! It was the highlight of our trip for sure.

I wouldn't cancel, we love CM's. People are more likely to post bad reviews than good ones. For every unsatisfied customer there are hundreds of satisfied customers.

Ok you all have convienced me to keep it. I hope DD5 gets to have great interaction with the characters.
