Hi. With the ability to add a 4th FastPass from the Dis App it got me thinking. If I arrive for one of my scheduled FP's and the line is short can I cancel that FP and make another right at that time would I have to wait until my 3rd scheduled pass is used?

Thanks!

If you decide you don't want to FP and choose Standby instead, use the app and Modify that FP to another choice.

Then, after you complete all 3 FPs, choose your 4th from the app (when that begins sometime next month).

While that's fine in many cases, there is often a good reason to choose to CANCEL one or more of your existing FP+ at the park the day-of.

You will have pre-booked 3 FP+, (at Epcot and DHS, one "Tier 1 FP" and two "Tier 2 FP") and you likely might want to book another high-demand attraction after using one or two FP.

If you CANCEL the remaining pre-booked FP(s,) you will be able to, RIGHT THEN, book another available FP+ for any attraction in the park.

The earlier in the day that you can book an "additional" same-day FP, the better the selection of FP will be.

But in the OP's case, she was thinking of Canceling one and then adding her 4th before she had used her total number of pre-booked FPs.

If OP Cancels one and still has two FPs remaining of her initial 3, she won't be able to book her 4th immediately; she should Modify and Change.

At least that was how I interpreted her OP. :)

I was pointing out that just "changing" a FP to another attraction won't necessarily provide a "GOOD" (high-priority) FP.
The cancelling might possibly allow booking a much higher-demand FP than originally booked.
This is especially true at Epcot and DHS because of the cursed Tiering limitations.

It also offers the possibility of RE-booking another ride on the priority attraction that a guest may have already ridden using a FP that day.

Ahh, I didn't know this! Thanks

My family struggles at Epcot because with our young children, we would prefer to use 3 Tier 2 FPs. Are you saying that we could arrive at the park and cancel our Tier 1 FP before we use it and book a Tier 2 and have 3 Tier 2s as our originals? Of course this is all moot when Frozen opens and becomes a Tier 1

As soon as you've USED those 2 remaining FPs, you can book another FP for any attraction FP still available.
