Cancel/Transfer/Trade ADR's 4 June *UPDATED*

How does "transferring" work? Is it easiest for me to call and cancel with others knowing WHEN I am going to do it? I have a few ADRS between 9/1 and 9/9 I need to cancel. PM me, I guess? I am calling this week.

Also - cue the world's tiniest violin - but I am looking for a Le Cellier ADR on 9/19 for a table of 5 late in the evening, after 8:30 pm. That is my anniversary. Originally, DH and I were going to go on a date that night and leave the kids with a sitter so I made our dining arrangements for 2. Well, for various reasons, we have decided to include the kids. The only ADR we could land at this late date was Kona - a favorite but not "romantic". I'd LOVE to surprise DH by getting into Le Cellier. Thanks.

8/26 Whispering Canyon Cafe 8:50pm Party of 2 (I'm so sad to let this one go )
8/28 50's Prime Time Cafe 5:35pm party of 2

I will be making the call later tonight, so if anyone wants these PM me and I'll just transfer the names over.

Transferring is really easy, all you need is the name and phone number of the person you want to transfer to and then you call WDW dine and tell the CM your confirmation number and that you want to transfer it into your friend's name ect. Then you give the person you transferred it to the confirm # and you are all set.

AWESOME! Thank you for the info. Got a bunch of PMs but no one mentioned that as an option. So, those of you I PMed, I would be happy to do this. I will call THURSDAY evening, ok?

However, you may need to call more than once. I just did this yesterday and the first CM told me there was absolutely no way to do this - that I would have to cancel and hope the other person got it.

I said, "never mind" and called back. The 2nd CM was really trying to be helpful, but said that we would have to be on 3 way calling to cancel and then immediately rebook. I said, "thanks anyway" and called back yet again.

The 3rd CM said, "Oh, yes, we do that all the time!" I didn't know I needed the other person's phone #, and didn't have it, so she just left it in my phone # and the other person's name.

I would love anything at O'hanas Sept 1 -9 or anything at Crystal Palace Sept 7,8 or 9 (party of 4 or 5, we have a little one that they won't or will count)

This is true, you may have trouble if the CM is new....or doesn't know what they are talking about....if this happens, just call back....or you could always give the person you want to transfer to your confirm number and name and they could go and pretend to be you, personally I would keep calling till I found a CM that would do it, I only had an issue once when I called and the other 2 times both CM's transferred the names without issue.

I am trying to help a friend. She has an ADR for WCC at 1:30 on 9/22 but needs something a little later in the day (but not too late--they are traveling with young children). It needs to be for a party of 8 at a resort or DTD. This is their first real trip so she does not understand that every where would already be full.
This is their arrival day and they will not have park tickets. If possible, they would like something fun for the kids (I'm thinking a later WCC, or CM, or something like that).

I have a ressie for Le Cellier on Wednesday, Sept. 19th at 8:00PM. That's the only opening they had so I took it. I'd rather have a lunch there. If anyone wants to trade for that day I'd take anything in the lunch time frame.
