Canadians, help me shop online.

So I really want a baggallini messenger bag that everyone on the dis talks about but can only find it on american websites, How do I go about having to pay for the duty? ebags will send one for me and the price with shipping comes to about $37. but then it says that does not inlude the duty. Does anyone have any experience buying online?

eBags uses borderfree, so it will calculate all the shipping, duty and taxes before they send it. I am surprised at the price you are quoting from eBags. When I was looking at their bags the shipping to Canada was very high. THE $30 Bag was going to cost $70+USD with their extra charges.

I ended up buying one at http://www.jet-setter.ca/en/index.html they are in Quebec and I got the bag very quickly for less money than eBags.

I'm not sure where you are, but if you have an Urban Traveller nearby that is where I got mine. If you are in the Burlington area there is one at Mapleview Mall.

I used shoebuy last year, I think the total was around $35 (there was deal/code) and when DHL(i thinks that's what they're called) delivered it it was another $14-$15 in duties

Where do you live?

I use a company in Lewiston N.Y for shipping..I just go and pick up. Cost is $5 per pkg. Easy.

I ordered mine just before I went on vacation and had it deliverd to my hotel in the states.

That is one cool website. But I could spend hours poking through the one rack of cool travel bits at that luggage store that's in every mall!

Not sure where you are located, but thought I would mention - I bought a Baggallini bag at a store in Mississauga ON called "Solutions" - it's the last place I would have looked for one as it is a store that specializes in different storage solutions, but it was $39.99 plus tax.
I bought it last fall, but I know a friend had purchased one the year before so it looks like it's something they stock..

Thanx I will look into the options around Toronto as I just live in Barrie and could use an excuse to shop.
