Is anyone else planning on going for Halloween? We've only been to the World once Before and that was in the month of April the year we went.
We are combining a cruise with this one, and the most affordable time to do that was the fall, so I thought it would be fun to do Halloween in MK this year. Our Cruise starts the next day!
Anyone else doing one or the other?

We're there Oct. 24 - Nov.1, MNSSHP on Oct.31 too!

Where are you staying?
What characters are you going to dress as?
DD11 will be Tinkerbell(already got her costume), and am trying to talk the rest of family into doing the Peter Pan theme....DH-Captain Hook, me, Wendy, but am having difficulty getting DS13 to dress as a young man in green tights:rotfl:

We are Staying at the CBR (would have loved to have one of their new PIRATE ROOMS, but they aren't part of the land/sea Package).
Since there is pirate night on our DCL cruise, we are going to wear Pirate costumes both for Halloween and Pirate night on board the ship.
We are making the costumes ourselves (yah right, that was DD's idea). Patterns and fabric have been bought, but I procrastinate too much so just may cave and have a seamstress make them for us (6 costumes in all).

I guess MK is likely to be more crowded on the 31st versus the party on another night?

I was just thinking if I was smart or not in our breakfast ADR's for the next day. We really want to do Chef Mickey's and also want to be at Port Canaveral for 10 am. So I made our ADR for 7:30 am. The party on the 31st goes to midnight right? Are the fireworks at midnight or earlier? Thats not going to be much sleep (by the time we take a bus back to the resort, pack up our van so we don't have to do it the next day, then up at 6 - 6:30 to get ready for checkout????)

We are at Poly. My sister & I tried to convince everyone to do an Alice In Wonderland Theme, but it didn't work out. So... DH will be Obiwan from Star Wars, I'm going to be Mary Poppins, DD18 Pocahontis, DD7 either Cinderella or Queen Narissa (from Enchanted), DD4 a "pink princess" (her current obsession:rotfl:). My sister & her DH are also going. They are dressing as Jack & Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas.

I can't imagine why your DS doesn't want to wear tights. :rotfl:

I'm expecting that it will be pretty crowded on the 31st - I'm thinking a lot of locals might go for Halloween. It will actually be at the end of our trip though, so we're hoping to just do the Halloween stuff & not worry about the rides.

If they keep the same schedule as last year the fireworks are at 9:30 and the parades are at 8:15 & 10:30, so it doesn't have to be a super late night.
Here's the link to last year's brochure:

We are cruising Oct 24th til Oct 31st, then off to the halloween party!!!! Your right, not much sleep before you get on the ship. You will have access to your stateroom around 130 in the afternoon, so you could have "naps" until the lifeboat safety drill at 4.

Is anyone gong Oct 2nd?

We bought 2 tickets and then our plans fell through due to work commitments that changed.

Not sure where to post them for sale?

Selling for face value.

If anyone is interested let me know.

Thanks

Try ebay, or even better, Kijiji.

Someone in another forum (can't remember which one - maybe Theme Parks or Families?) had tickets that their BIL needed to get rid of. She started a thread and had a couple of different people offer to buy them.

Oh, and a few posters told her to call Disney because even though they say they are non-refundable they had been able to return tickets in the past. Worth a try!

We haven't decided on our MNSSHP dates yet... but we're thinking about the 27th. Both kiddos are going to do the Pirates League before, so they'll be all set for costumes and make-up.

Thanks

I'll try calling Disney & se if they will cancel them...worth the call, least tehy'll say is NO.

I'll be there Oct 26-Oct 31 with my mom for Food & Wine. We're doing MNSSHP Oct 27, celebrathing my birthday!! Not sure yet if we're going to dress up. Staying at CBR again, and I can't wait!!! I need this vacation pretty badly!!

We will be at WDW from Oct 17-22 with MNSSHP on the 20th. We will be back at WDW for the 31st after a week with DCL.

Has anyone gone to the trick or treating at DTD or FW before? What are our other options for Halloween night?

Purchased our tickets for MNSSHP yesterday - we'll be going on October 25th. Also doing the Pirates League that day beforehand! pirate:
