Canadians flying out of Seattle, COVID test?

Our extended family of 8 is planning an Aulani trip next December. After reading the regulations multiple times it seems to me that if we cross the land border and fly out of Seattle to Hawaii we do not need COVID tests as long as everyone is fully vaccinated. Has anyone done this and/or am I misunderstanding the current regulations?

That's what the Leafs and Oilers did during the first round of the playoffs Yes, many people are driving across the border and catching flights from the U.S.

Your understanding is correct. It sure is stressful doing test day before flying out of Vancouver to go to US. We have done this twice over the last few months (both times negative thankfully)

It's so stressful to plan a trip with these COVID tests, especially with such a large group. All it takes is one bad test.
