I asked this in the DLR community board and got no responses....

Hoping people here remember and know the name.

I remember seeing a Canadian Fiddle group, at least I think they were Canadian and they didn't just fiddle but "danced" while they fiddled. I saw them at the stage that comes out of the ground.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does any one know their name or did I dream the whole thing??

"Are you thinking of Off Kilter?"

No, but they look cool. These were fiddlers and young, like 16-20 years old maybe and five or more maybe....

And it was Disneyland......

When did you see them? You may have to narrow it down a bit, there are quite a few groups like this on the East Coast :)

Maybe try your luck on the Canadian Forum as well.

I don't know if they play Disneyland, but it sounds like Barrage. The theatre where I work opened last season with their show, which was amazing. They are Canadian, they're young, they play fiddles and there's a lot of dancing/jumping in their show. On our stage, they were backed with guitar, drums and bass, too. Read about them at www.barrage.org. A quick glance at the website shows that they've been on the Disney channel, but I didn't see anything about parks.

Turns out Barrage has played at both Disney World and Disneyland. I feel confident this is the group you're talking about. Their show was fabulous and they were great kids. It's a cast show, so the personnel changes some each year.

We had a 90-minute show instead of the 30 minutes at the parks.

Leahy is my favorite Canadian fiddle group. For an indiviudal fiddler I love Natile MacMaster who is married to one of the guys from Leahy. But depending on when you saw them they are a bit too old. They are siblings.

Must be Barrage. Barrage is coming to the high school in the district where I teach and all of my elementary string students are opening up the concert for them. We are all so psyched! The high school and middle school kids will get to perform two songs with them-Old Joe Clark and Calypso Jam.

I believe Barrage is exactly who it was! Thanks so much.

Barrage is one of the best groups I've ever seen at The American Garden Theater in Epcot! Their show is high energy, redefined.
