Canadian Disney discount

Back in the early 80's Disney had an offer for room and tickets at par for Canadians. At the time the dollar was at 0.65. Do you think that Disney will ever it again with the way our dollar is going?

Don't count on it ... there are no longer any real "quiet" times like there were in the 80's. They can fill the rooms easily right now and until something shifts that (continue changing the way tickets are priced ... take away EM hours ... other annoying things that are being rumoured) and they can't fill the rooms there is no need for them to entice us. It would be nice though!!!

Agreed. All people complain about is how crowded the parks are. No need for them to discount 30% just to Canadians when they can fill rooms at full price. Also I don't think Canadians are that high on their priority list anymore. The S. Americans are coming in droves and they spend big bucks. Canadians always want discounts.

As the others have said I don't think we will see discounts any time soon...heck they are saying book a hotel off site lol. They are filling rooms all the time with no down periods so no need to care about giving their neighbors to the north a discount. Heck our UK counterparts get better deals.

Several of us have noticed this "special" but are somewhat annoyed that it's for OFF-SITE hotels??There are too many perks that you miss if you stay off-site

That's exactly it...lose out on the perks. It's almost an insult that they are giving that kind of offer.

The only way that could happen is if their internal numbers for Canadians dropped drastically. But as someone else stated the South Americans are coming in droves so they may not give a damn whether we show up or not, rooms are still being filled and that's all that matters in the end.
