For previous visitors, is Peggy's Cove better first thing off the ship, or last thing in the day?

We've been to Peggy's cove before, but not from a cruise so I can't suggest which time is better. However, I'd go first thing off the ship. The place is beautiful and I came to the conclusion that it's impossible to take a bad picture there.

After Peggy's Cove, spend some time in downtown Halifax before heading back to the ship.

We went on a DCL tour to Peggy's Cove that left fairly early, it was a beautiful place to visit. I could have sat up on those rocks for hours and stare out at the view.
When we got back to the port, we had quite a bit of time to walk around the area and enjoy the scenery.

Agreed, there is no bad time to visit Peggy's Cove. It is beautiful. That said, please be careful, the waves can come up on the rocks quite suddenly. I think it was last year that a tourist was drowned.

Holy Cow! That scare the heck out of me, I had no idea.
Thanks for giving people the head's up!
