My boyfriend brought over his memory foam pillow and it stinks! Can I stick it in the washing machine/dryer?

I would think that you could not run a spin cycle or it would throw off the washer balance. and you would have to dry it on very low heat.

Best place to find info would be their website.

NO. Memory foam is very different from regular polyurethane foam. Believe me, I Googled & researched this online. My cat pooed on my new memory foam pad. :furious: Memory foam is designed in some way in which the cells actually absorb and then HOLD the water. People on other forums have said you will never be able to fully get the water all the way out or get that thing fully dry, no matter how much you squeeze or wring the pillow out, or put it in the dryer or even leave it in the sun to air dry.

It works the way that Shamwow pad thingie is supposed to work in absorbing more than it's weight in water - only it doesn't let it go afterwards.

If you're going to throw it out, try washing it anyway. Do it on delicate, cold. What the heck; it's worth a shot.
