Dh is taking the car and going golfing one morning I thought that would be a good time to take dd to POFQ pool, which we are permitted to do I think. But how to best get there?

There's a nice little path that takes you over a bridge. You're pretty much following the river. I was at POFQ last year for my trip and me and dh loved walking from our room (which was right by the pool) to POR for breakfast at boatwrights. I think the walk took about 10 to 15 minutes.

As other posters have stated, yes. Follow the paved path that goes along the river. It's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk. The pool at POFQ is delightful -- my DS loves it.

The only thing I dislike about the pool is that the theme really appeals to young children like my son, but the pool depth is over his head in most spots. I think the depth at the slide was 3'6", for instance and my little guy is only 40.5" tall. Also, the lifeguards don't allow two people (like father and son) to go down the slide at the same time, but instead offer life vests for the younger children to use for the slide. We didn't feel comfortable having DS use a vest since he's an experienced swimmer, but not comfortable with lifevests. So our son's use of the dragon slide was limited to times when one of us could be in line with him and the other could be waiting in the pool -- difficult to do with our baby girl with us.

The bartender at the pool bar makes excellent Pina Coladas. Enjoy your trip!

The stroll is nice between the resorts. To get from POFQ to POR you can also take a boat (that goes between the resorts) or you can hop on a bus, just ask the driver if they are going over to POR. If so, you can get off at the South Depot and be right at the main food court/restaurant bldg. It's not official "bus servcie" between the resorts it's just that busses pick up at POFQ first then it goes to POR to pick up more guests. I liked the boat best! :boat: Hope that helps!

the walk from pofq to por was a great break from all the hustle and bustle of the parks. it is a beautiful, quiet time with my dd. when we got there had breakfast and then hit the parks. it was a great time to talk about our day.
