Can you use two of your FastPass's for the same ride?

For some reason I thought rope drop was for people staying on property.



This is good to know, I'll put this in my plans.

Rope Drop is just a term for entering the park at its opening time. Everyone can enter at regular park opening time. The only thing not available for off site guests are Extra Magic Hours (earlier morning or later evening hours). So just don't go at EMH. Go to rope drop on a non-EMH day.

if your son has problems at the park disney dose a great job of helping people with all kinds of disabilities I would go to GR at the front of the park and talk to them about your sons needs and see what they can do for you

Not with your first 3 FPs anyway. And I think there's less than a 1% chance of getting TSM as a 4th at a kiosk.

But if you want to attempt it, you could arrive early at the gates to be at the front of the RD crowd and ride it standby, then book your FP for the evening. Of course that means you would limit yourself to just 3 FPs that day.

This is exactly what we do every year at HS. At rope drop, standby line for TSMM is 10 - 15 mins. We then ride our FP booked ride which is usually soon after that. Works great for us.

My favorite rope drop story:

I had a co-worker recently telling me about her trip to Disney World. They seemed to be pretty good planners and tried to maximize their time the best they could.

She was very excited to tell me about her experience riding Midway Mania without a Fast Pass. The got up really early, got to the gates about 45 minutes before they opened and waited in a pretty large crowd. Then they hurried as fast as they could to the ride and the wait was *only* 15 minutes. By the time they got off the line was almost an hour long. There were people all over the place.

I rode the same ride 4 times in about an hour late at night and didn't have to deal with the crowds.
