Can you use the International Gateway for Early Entry?

We are staying at the BCV in June, and were planning to walk to Epcot when we went, but were wondering ... if we go on an Early Entry day, must we enter the park through the main future world entrance, or are we able to enter through the International Gateway?

You can enter at the Gateway.

World Showcase will be closed and roped off with CM's standing around to point you in the direction of Furture World.

When we stayed at BWV in May 2003, we used the International Gateway on early entry. You do have to walk through all the countries when it opens, but it is a lot faster than trying to get through the main entrance from a Epcot resort.

I was surprised that you are not admitted until the exact opening time. Since most guests are rushing to TestTrack and Mission Space, you will be much farther away than guests entering from Future World. I thought we would walk to a rope near Future World and wait there until 8:00(or 9:00 on other days), but that's not their policy. No bag check or anything until opening time.
