Can you use some later portion of an "upgraded tkt" over a black-out period?

ok, I think I'm confused.

And I'm sure this has been asked and answered before but heck if I know how to find it. So sorry.

Here's the deal. We have 5 vouchers from a GAD/GAD opportunity and are planning on using them when we go in December. My thought was to use them to upgrade to a 5 day ticket. BUT I just noticed that 12/11 and 12/12 are blackout dates. We are planning to be there from the 8th to the 16th. So................if we go to the park on the 9th and use it to upgrade to that 5day ticket, will we be unable to use it on that Saturday and Sunday (the 11th and 12th)? Not that that would necessarily be a huge problem. We could just do Disney on Thursday and Friday; go somewhere else on the weekend; and then return for M-W. I guess I'm just trying to figure it all out. That black-out just kind of threw me for a loop.

Thanx for any info you can offer!

But for others, the answer is yes.

You cannot use a GAD ticvket when it is blocked out.

However, once you have upgraded, it is no longer a GAD ticket but it is the ticket you have upgraded to with one day used. And it is subject to the rules and restrictions that apply to that ticket, not the GAD ticket.
