Can you use pool floats/noodles in a Disney pool?

We leave in 11 days, staying at AKL Kidani Village. I'm trying to decide whether to pack noodles or a pool kickboard. Will we be able to use them at a pool on property? Or should we leave them at home?

Thanks for your help!

I used a pool noodle at one of the "quiet"pools at POR last trip. It was nice to be able to float easily without hanging onto the side of the pool. Not sure I'd bring a kick board, though.

Thank you for your insight!! Floating in the water is my goal!! Glad to know Disney doesn't ban or restrict their use!! :):)

Noodles should be fine. I wouldn't bring something like a big inflatable raft, or a floating chaise, or anything like that. The lifeguards don't want anything in the pool that blocks an area of the water from their vision - they wouldn't be able to see if a child was under that big chaise and in trouble, for instance.

They also don't want something in the pool that takes up a large amount of space, making the pool more crowded for the other guests.

Does anyone know if I can bring my 2yr olds own float? It's more like a life vest and small but keeps him upright. We are staying at CBR.

As far as I can remember, the only things flat out banned are the arm wings. Can't remember if personal vests are OK or if you have to get the ones from the lifeguards.

I know vests are okay for kids...my youngest wears them all the time.

we had a noodle in the main pool at all star sports and they were fine with that. they did make my granddaughter take out her small foam boogie board which she was using just like the noodle. it's a real small one about 12-18 inches long but they said it had to go. no biggie just what we experienced.

Wonder what their logic was to ban the boogie board! Makes no sense to me, but I'm fine with the noodle, so no problem!

CBR, our first time at that resort. So excited!!!! Can't wait :)

How exciting! It's always fun to stay at a new and different resort! We're 9 days and counting - I'm starting to panic - so much to do!!!

No floats are permitted. Boogie board is a float. Noodles are permitted. It think it is the width of the item.

Have a great time!

You know, whoever invented the pool noodle must be a gazillionaire by now! :rotfl: I don't remember them existing when I was a kid but they are ubiquitous now at all pools!

I think Disney is fine with the noodles because they really don't take up much space. Other kinds of floats would create chaos if everyone brought one. I'm glad they aren't allowed, personally!
