Can you use gift cards to pay got ddp?

We are dvc members staying on points. I havent added ddp yet and was wondering.. Do you pay upon check in and if so can you use Disney gift cards? Or do u have to pay when you call to add it.

I just did this last week.

You can use gift cards to pay for DDP. You have to call at least 48 hours before check in to add the DDP. You have to pay for it upon requesting it; you can no longer pay at check in. you will pay in full. I had 5 different gift cards I used to pay for our DDP and the CM was very patient with me.

I'm so glad I saw this thread. I was wondering if I could use my gift cards to pay for the DDP. Now I just have to decide whether to get Reg or DeLuxe before it goes up.

stop and shop is running a special right now where if you buy $50 in gift cards you get a $15 coupon for a future purchase. So if u just take the $15 coupon and purchase another $50 gc u get it for $35.

Thanks Alice for your response. I just called today to book dining plan and had no trouble using gift cards. I had 8 and she didn't even hesitate to take them.
