Can you use discount codes & add tickets & dining?

Just booked a week stay through CRO with a AAA discount. I was hoping to get a better rate or deal such as buy 4 get 7 nights somewhere down the line. If a really good discount code comes out for the room only, can you add the tickets and dining to make your own package?

When I asked they said I could but I read on another board that if you want to do a package you can't use the room discounts. Confused.

Are those 4 for 7 deals a package already? That sounds like a good deal. Although I have a feeling we won't be seeing any of those this year because we're going. I always have the worst luck. LOL.

Also there seems to be a great deal of interest in the new Disney packages that I think a lot of people are going to be vacationing here this year to try them out ( which means less discounts and more money for WDW ). They're so smart, aren't they?

Please advise and tell me your thoughts.

Well I don't think there will be a 4 for 7. MYW is the current promotion.

You can add tickets and meals to a dicounted room with a AAA rate, postcard or email code. People have reported doing so. There is a long standing rumor on this board that you can't but I don't know why it keeps getting reported that way even as folks post they just did.

However, I don't think you could add tickets and meals to an AP rate as you already have tickets with APs. And if you have APs, you can buy the Disney Dining Experience card for meal discounts. Now with the old packages, you sometimes could combine an AP rate with a package that didn't include tickets. We did that once with the Golf package and an AP discounted room.

I agree that the new packages are smart. Something for everyone.

If you have a AAA or AP room-only reservation, you can add tickets to that reservation, but not the dining plan.

I have a room only with a postcard pin number and have been told twice that I cannot add the dinning package.

You can get a AAA discount off the room portion of a MYW package + dining by booking directly through AAA.

Room only AAA discounts are available by booking through Disney or travel agents. Unfortunately, dining cannot be added this way though.

I have seen the postings where people were able to add the dining plan to certain discount codes. I would try if I received one!

You must book a package (not room only) to get the dining option. Package booking can still be done through AAA, but it will be a different reservation.

Yes, you can. You will have to rebook it as a package and not as room only, but you can use the discounted PIN offer to get a discounted MYW dining package. You should call back and talk to another CM.
