If I have a multi day ticket with the WPF&M option can I use a water park admission the first day or do I need to go to a park the first day to activate the ticket?

My parents are flying down on Saturday, Oct 24th and we had planned to go to Typhoon Lagoon that day because it goes down for refurb the next day. I'm not sure if they can use a water park admission that day before they go to a theme park or not.

If I have a multi day ticket with the WPF&M option

1. can I use a water park admission the first day or

2. do I need to go to a park the first day to activate the ticket?

1. Yes.
2. No.

The WPF&M options are completely separate from your theme park admissions, and the two categories don't interact or depend on each other.
The only thing that spans them is whichever option is used first starts the countdown on the 14 days before expiration of the tickets.

Not to hijack, but how about if we have our package with tickets on day 3 after our 2 night room only with no tickets can we access our WPF&M part of our package early without mucking anything up for the package when it goes live?? By Crikey I hope that makes sense :rotfl:

I don't know the answer but I did understand what you were asking lol. Hopefully somebody in the know can come by shortly and have an answer for you.

Go to any Guest Relations outside the parks and ask the CM to activate your package tickets.
Early activation of WDW Resort Package tickets can be done up to 3 days before the package check-in…
and that step MUST be done in order to USE tickets bought as part of a WDW Resort Package before the check-in date.
Your tickets will be usable via your MagicBands at that point.

If your tickets are NOT purchased as part of a WDW Resort Package ("stand-alone tickets,") they will be
ready for use at any time without further need of "activation."
