Can you use a portable DVD player on plane??

Just stay away from Cyberhome. I got mine at Target. Although the unit works great on A/C current and the car adapter, I've only been able to use the battery a couple of times. It's very particular on its charging. If you leave it in the charge over 4 hours, the battery doesn't work at all! They sent me a "conditioner" but it only worked once. Very disappointing.
