Can you upgrade a Power Pass?

My daughter and I have a trip planned for May, 2014. I booked our room with an AP rate, and I am getting a Preferred Pass to get that hotel discount as well as merchandise and food discounts. I don't think we would be returning during any of the blackout dates, so was thinking of having my daughter get the Power Pass, as we'll already have my pass for the discounts. If we decided later to plan a trip during the blackout dates, could she pay the difference to upgrade her pass to a Preferred Pass? Could this be done anytime during the year the pass is valid? Where would we go to upgrade?

You can upgrade as long as you aren't on the FlexPay program. If you paid for the pass all at once then you would just pay the difference between the two passes. If you are on the FlexPay program, you would have to pay the balance on the Power Pass and then upgrade to the Preferred. You can upgrade at Guest Services at either park any time during the year the pass is active.

Thanks so much for your reply! We can go with the Power Pass for now, and she'll just upgrade later if needed.
