There really are a couple of aspects of this. One is deposit first into RCI and the other is usage of RCI. While they will be related if you proceed, in many ways they are separate. From what I understand you'll need to deposit a min of 80. It's been said recently that it has to be increments of 10 after that though I doubt that to be true in all situations because one could also deposit the amount for a given villa. The question is whether RCI will recognize them as a short notice deposit or a full deposit. It's very important to you that it be a full routine deposit. You'll simply have to ask DVC on this question. IF you do decide to deposit go ahead and do your research for a plan to use them. Since most exchanges are for a full week, anything less will severely limit your chances of success. Do not count on getting an exchange for less than a week (you might nor might not and many resorts don't have shorter deposits). Also one needs to plan ahead, usually at least 10-12 months, sometimes more. Also make sure the resorts you are considering have the villa sizes that you'll need. If a resort only has 2 BR villas, you'll pay that price even if all you need is a studio.
