Sorry for all the questions today.

Can you take snacks and water in your backpack like you can at Disney?

You shouldn't have any trouble. We have done it every trip and have never had any trouble.

yeppers ;)

I take a sling bag and fill it up with Diet Cokes, water bottle and snacks for the day. It's nice to have a nibble when waiting in lines. They have bag search at the entrance and it's easy. Use clear baggies so it goes quickly.

Yesterday (6/27) a security guard made me toss my open water bottle before entering the park. I don't know if this is standard procedure or not but needless to say I was not happy

Open beverages aren't usually allowed into the park...just closed containers. The guards wouldn't know if you had water or vodka in the bottle. You can carry open containers out of the park...just not in.

:thumbsup2

i have seen that before....
open containers have to be emptied.

some bring alcohol into the park in other containers.

That's what I figured and it makes sense but we were parked on the upper level of Jaws yesterday in the very last spot so by the time we made it to security I was thirsty ;)Next time I'll know to crack my bottle after the check point.
