as a liquid in your carryon? What about jell deoderent?

Any product you want to bring in your carry-on luggage and that is a liquid, gel, cream, or paste must be in containers that are 3.4 ounces or smaller and must all fit in the one one-quart zip-top clear plastic bag each passenger is allowed. The bag has to be zipped closed, all labels should be visible (especially the size), and the bag must be removed from your luggage and scanned separately.

See www.tsa.gov for more information, if I missed anything.

Yes, but as Kaytie said, it must meet the TSA requirements.

It is called 3-1-1. You can take any three containers, as long as they are three ounces or smaller. It must be in a quart sized ziplock bag; you must take it out of your day bag and place it in full view of the TSA agent in the grey bins.. and you may put it back in your day bag once you exit the security area.

Really close, but not quite right.

There is no limit to the number of containers you can take - as long as they fit into your quart (or liter if flying out of a metric country) bag and each one is less than 100ml/3.4oz, you are fine.

The 3-1-1 refers to: 3 oz* in 1 bag for 1 person.

If you look at the TSA site, they state that they used 3-1-1 since it works better than 3.4-1-1, but the rule is actually 100mL which is the equivalent of 3.4oz.

You can have more than 3 containers, but each must be clearly marked as 3.4 ounces or less, and they must fit completely inside a zippered-close quart size bag (you can fit a lot in them if you pack/plan carefully!!:thumbsup2)
