I was wondering if you can take out the uph out of the land/sea package say if you already had tickets to the parks or was an ap holder? Has anyone ever done this or tried and was told no. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are booked on the land sea 3day/4night and I wanted to add days to the beg of the land and also wanted to stay in a different hotel then the one purchased with the package. I'm wanting to just buy a 4 day PH since we will not be using any of the plus options and would rather have the extra day of use on the day before the package starts rather then the day we have to board the ship. Can anyone help?

As far as I know, it is sold as is. Meaning you can't take anything out of it nor can you change it around. Your best bet would likely be to book the components separately. It would be less expensive, particularly as you don't want to pay twice for the tickets. The only down side that is coming to mind immediately is if you wanted a Cat 1 or 2. Those seem to be held in reserve for those who book the whole package. They will let you add on days but you have to add the UPH to the entire trip.

I am pretty certain that you cannot change your PH passes at all.
We added days seperately to our land/sea, as DCL told us they could not modify the land/sea reservation. We ended up booking a 3 night package that allowed us a total of 6 nights on land. The only down side of booking extra days on to your package is that you have 2 deposits, 2 final payments and 2 resort check ins, one for your added days, one for your land/sea. We liked adding on the days because we were able to stay in AKL, which at the time was not offered as a resort choice with the land/sea, and we got a full WDW trip in. Also, since it was our first DCL trip, we loved the convienence of the land/sea, with all transportation and baggage issues taken care of by DCL. This type of booking may work for you, as you could customize your added on WDW days as you wish with your PH, and possibly allow more time to utilize the UPH that come with the land/sea.

Also, we flew in the night before our package actually started to get full advantage of our first day. We got a great rate at ASMu for one nite, took a cab to AKL for our passes in the morning (Disney took care of our bags) and got a full day in on day one with out skipping a beat!

We did the 4 night/3 day a couple of years ago. It was our first cruise and we had no idea what we were doing. We booked cat 5 rooms and stayed at the Beach club. We would never book the package again. We were so tired from having so much fun at WDW that we took way to many naps on the ship. We only used our rooms for sleeping and could have done that in a cat 11. We didn't get to enjoy our room at Beach club because we were at the parks all day.

So next time we want to do WDW and a cruise we will book them not as a package. We would do the cruise BEFORE the parks. We would stay at one of the budget resorts and book an inside room on th ship. Would save us $$$ for an extra trip.:D

And vice versa. When we checked into AKL after a 7 night cruise, all we wanted to do was rest the first day. Luckily, we had made several trips to WDW earlier that year, and didn't miss anything. Diana
