is a person able to take drinks from the classes back to their stateroom to enjoy at their leisure?

I have been able to do this in the past. The only thing was if the drink was in some sort of specialty glassware, they poured it into a different generic glass to take.

We've never had any trouble taking our drinks but they will usually transfer the drinks into different glasses.

Yes. I did this with my first tasting, it was just a regular looking glass. I also was allowed to take my leftover Valrhona chocolate from the liquor and chocolate tasting--they gave me a napkin to put it in vs taking their plate. (I could see my adult kids in La Piazza, so I gave them my extra chocolate to split.)
