Can you take a fannypack on all the rides?

Hope something I just read was wrong, I read on another site that they won't even let you take a fannypack which is strapped onto your waist on ROTM. I hope this isn't true, I know fannypacks aren't fashionable (but really I don't care what I look like at an amusement park! ;)) and I had planned on just taking a fannypack to the parks so I wouldn't have to bother with storing things in the lockers, but after reading that I'm bummed.

You cannot take them on Duelling Dragons, Hulk, ROTM or MiB. You store them in a locker outside. It is free while you ride.

I wore mine on all the rides, although once they made me put it in a locker at MIB

Actually, you CAN take it on all of these rides. I know 'cause every time I visit USF/IOA (which is often), I'm weighed down with my giant fanny pack with enough supplies for a week in the wildnerness. They make me turn it to the side, but never ever once in dozens and dozens of rides have they required me to take it off and put it in a locker.

I wore mine all last week and never had to store it in a locker. I wor it most of the time like a purse across my shoulder and body but would move it to my waist for the rides that had no carry-ons. Never had an issue! BTW i saw TONS of people with fanny packs and there were fanny packs in almost every gift shop.

Thank you that is so good to know that I can take them on the rides, I just don't want to take the time to store things in lockers then go back and get them, I'm impatient! And also, good to know that I won't be the only 'unfashionable' person at the parks! ;)

I have worn one and to keep from being asked to take off I always wear baggy shirts and it hides it :rotfl2:

I see people get on all the time with fanny packs. I thought about getting one myself to take there because I HATE getting lockers! I remember way back when when you didn't have to use stupid lockers. Ugh, just a big time waster.

I have a small waist pack ( i refuse to call it a fanny pack lol) that I tuck under my shirt if I feel I need too.

Oh c'mon it takes like 10 seconds - you're on vacation ;)

Duelling Dragons told us to sit on or 'hold onto' our shoes. I sat on mine; wasn't about to take the chance of my shoe flying out of my hand half way round!

Do you have like secret VIP lockers or something? More like 10 minutes. I always end up getting in a long line, or getting behind someone who doesn't remember their locker number or doesn't remember what finger they scanned, or refuses to pay the money. I'm sorry, but it does not take 10 seconds.

And no, for me, it is not a vacation. We go at least twice a month, so when you have to keep doing that alllll the time, and wasting all that time, it gets irritating.

I try not to take a bag to that park, but when you have your keys, cell phone, chap stick, passes, etc etc, they don't make pockets big enough. Maybe if I wore guy pants.

I don't know, we've never waited more than a minute for the lockers. :confused3 There are some seriously locker-retarded folks out there who like to hold people up though...

:rotfl: C'mon, you can fit those in your jeans ;)

My DW used to use on and put it sideways under her shirt to get on the rides. But now we stay onsite and if it does not fit in our pockets it dosen't go with us.:thumbsup2

Here's the easiest thing to do...

If possible...leave extra stuff in the room or car. I always wear cargo shots with lots of pockets and never have to use a locker or do the baggage check lines. I know this doesn't work for everyone but it's a viable option if you don't want to fool with the lockers.

I use a very small fanny pack. You really can't even see it. I can see some rides' restraint systems being hampered with the fanny pack; Mummy especially.

I thought fan ny packs were banned from the United States back in the 80's with only the flea markets allowed as free fanny pack usage. lol

J/K Guys. :rotfl:
